While he looks much older than he is, Pete has battled substance and alcohol addiction most of his life. He now struggles with guilt, as his Mother is dying and he can’t find the strength to quit his destructive lifestyle. On top of that, his family doesn’t want him around. A very sad story, I’m afraid.
